MAKTAB / EDUCATION

We currently hold Maktab / Education classes for children of all ages from ages 4 through to 18.

In addition to this we are trying to create a extensive catalogue of books within our library where members of the community can lend books.

 

FURTHER MAKTAB EDUCATION INFORMATION

IMPORTANT UPDATE

DUE TO THE RECENT GOVERNMENT GUIDELINES ALL MAKTAB CLASSES ARE SUSPENDED UNTIL 11 APRIL 2020.

The committee are currently assessing the situation and are looking at contingency methods of learning.

CLASSES

  • Wednesday Evenings (1 Class)

  • Thursday Evenings (1 Class)

  • Saturday Daytime (2 Classes)

  • Sunday Daytime (2 Classes)


Times of classes change based on the prayer timetable.  

Please contact the mosque if maktab times need confirmation.

PRICING

If the parent is a member of CIC the prices are as follows;

  • Member Band A - All classes are free for all children.

  • Member Band B - Weekend classes are free for all children and Weekday classes are £1 per class per child.

  • Member Band C - All classes are £1 per class per child.

If the parent is a non-member the price is as follows;

  • £2 per class per child.

USTADA / USTAAZA (TEACHERS)

  • Ustaad Imaam Abdur Rashid

  • Ustaaza Rashida Begum

All teachers have had full enhanced DBS checks carried out by the CIC Management Committee.

AGE GROUPS

  • Weekdays - Boys aged 4 to 18 and Girls aged 4 to 11 will be taught by Ustaad Imaam Abdur Rashid.

  • Weekends - Boys aged 4 to 18 will be taught by ustaad Imaam Abdur Rashid. Girls aged 4 - 18 will be taught by Ustaaza Rashida Begum.

MAKTAB SUB-COMMITTEE

  • Imam Abdur Rashid

  • Dilwar Ali (Executive Committee Member & Parent)

  • Abzol Miah (Management Committee Member & Parent)

All complaints should be directed to the Maktab sub-committee in the first instance.

All sub-committee members have had full enhanced DBS checks carried out by the CIC Management Committee.

MAKTAB POLICY AND STARTER PACK

  • Maktab classes should be ran and governed as per the maktab policies.

  • All parents should have received a starter pack and should ensure that they themselves and there children should adhere to the policy and rules.

  • As well as the Maktab policy it is the responsibility of CIC to ensure that we adhere to our Child safeguarding policy and Health & Safety policy.
